Correspondence of George L. Shearer, Secretary of the Richmond Agency of the American Tract Society and T. L. D. Walford, the Agency's Depositor. The collection consists chiefly of letters received by the Richmond Agency concerning affairs of Sunday and other schools, especially those established for Freedmen in Virginia and the Carolinas. Many letters were written in response to requests for books.
