An unpublished history of the American revolution, in 82 chapters, written between 1869 and 1910. The voluminous manuscript was used by Sir George Otto Trevelyan who described it as "a comprehensive store-house of accurate information arranged with admirable clearness, and illustrated by sound, and most perceptive observations and criticisms."
