    One flyer advertising Summer Classes at the Art Career School, New York, New York, 1949. This advertisement is for the 1949 summer session, June 20-August 26. Four separate classes are offered: Figure Drawing, Drawing and Painting, Applied Design or Illustration, and Outdoor Sketching. The sheet is folded into eighths within a blue paper folder, the first two pages of which are text and the latter six of which are (reproductions) illustrations, presumably artworks created in previous summer school classes. The cover title reads: "Art Career School." The item is accompanied by an unused mailing envelope with the school's name printed on it.

Below the instructor's name on the front is: "Season of 1941. June 30th to September 1st." This advertising/informational brochure for summer art classes is 8 pages in length, including front and back covers. It describes the types of classes offered and terms, among other things, and includes several black and white illustrations, most of which are reproductions of works by George Elmer Browne.

    One flyer entitled Class in Drawing and Painting From Nature; Composition and Design, by A.G. Randall, Commonwealth School of Art and Industry, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, 1906. The subtitle reads: "At Boothbay Harbor, Maine, from July 9th to August 11th, 1906." This brochure is 4 unnumbered pages in length, and describes the classes offered, as well as the housing costs, terms and location of the summer program. The school logo, centered on the first page, features an outline view of the eastern half of Massachusetts; Cape Cod is represented by a human arm holding artists' implements. "3-" is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the first page.

The classes offered fall under three broad categories: Art Education, Industrial Arts, and Practical Craft Courses. The dates of this particular summer program are July 7-August 15, 1930. This brochure is accompanied by a mailing envelope addressed to "Miss Mabel Spofford, Winchester Arms, Gloucester, Mass."
