The Falcon Best Crayons with Color Book

One boxed set of crayons entitled The Falcon Best Crayons with Color Book, High Grade 14 Colors, No. 163 on the front and "The Falcon Best Crayons, Fine Quality, No. 163" on the reverse. The cover of the box shows a young boy using the crayons to draw in the enclosed coloring book. The cardboard box slides open to reveal the small coloring book and the crayons. The book, The Leisure Hour Drawing Book for Instructive Sketching and Coloring Purposes, contains 16 printed images to color. Of the crayons, only 7 remain intact. Others, including two from a different manufacturer, are in pieces.

Banner Crayon Outfit

One boxed coloring set entitled Banner Crayon Outfit, manufactured by Milton Bradley Co., Springfield, Massachusetts, ca. 1915. This set is comprised of seven blind embossed coloring cards, six colored crayons attached to a single sheet of cardstock via elastic, and a chromolithograph-illustrated paperboard box. Directions for use are printed on the underside of the lid: "The crayons are to rub on the parts of the cards requiring color." The embossed coloring cards are untitled and unnumbered, and contain images and scenes of children and animals. All of the cards have been colored, and the crayons have been used as well. "Irene from Albert" is written in ms., in pencil, on the bottom of the box. A price tag of"$12.00" is affixed to the bottom of the box.

Cracker Jack Painting and Drawing Book for Crayon and Water Color Painting

One boxed painting set entitled Cracker Jack Painting and Drawing Book for Crayon and Water Color Painting, manufactured by Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron, Ohio, New York and Chicago, copyright 1917. The set is comprised of six small cakes of watercolor paint in wooden tubs, two metal dishes, a paintbrush, a box of 8 (5 are missing) wax crayons, and a painting and drawing book that contains chromolithograph and lithograph images for painting and coloring. Printed at the top of the title on the top lid is "It's an Ullman Coloring Outfit." "The Ullman Mfg. Co., N.Y." is printed at the bottom of the top lid. The drawing/coloring book has been colored in, but not completely. The paints have been used. The painting book bears the copyright date of 1917.
